Arrival and Departure Policy

Introduction and Aim

Learn and Fun ECC always gives a warm welcome to children, parents and visitors on their arrival. Parents are asked not to open the door for any other visitor. All visitors will be asked to sign in the register kept at the reception and identify their purpose of visit.

Procedure

  • The child should be handed over to the reception staff before the parent leaves the setting. This ensures that the staff is aware of who has arrived.
  • Parents will not be allowed beyond the reception gate.
  • A child’s medication needs should be passed on to reception staff verbally and should be written in the register.
  • Parents are to advise the ECC in advance if someone else is picking up their child. Written authorization by the parent as well as the Emirates ID as proof of identity will be required.
  • If the child is collected later than 30 min then a late fee of AED50 will be levied.
  • In case school transportation is used, please ensure that you are present at the pickup and drop off area when the bus arrives. The bus will wait no more than 5 minutes to pick or drop the child.

9:00 – 9:30 am Snack after Toilet and wash
9:30 – 10:00 am First Activity Session/ Arts and Crafts /phonics /Fun Science
10:00 – 10:30 am Play Time/Story session/music and movement
10:30 – 11:00 am Second Activity Session/ sensory play /mark making
11:00 Departure 1
11:00 – 11:30 am Outdoor/indoor fun/ music and movement/ wash and clean
11:30 – 12:00 pm Story sacks/puppet show
12:00 – 12:30 pm Snack after toilet and wash
12:30 – 1:00 pm Creative play/ play dough/show and tell/junior chef/planned afternoon activity
1:00- 2:00 pm Rest and quiet time
2:00 – 2:30 pm Carpet time/blocks/puzzles/ wash and clean before departure
2:30 Departure 2
2:30 – 3:30 pm Nap time
3:30 – 4:00 pm Afternoon snack time
4:00 -5:30 pm Afternoon planned activity by teachers in mixed age groups/free play
5:30 pm Last Departure
